Assorted negatives of West Library construction, 1987-1988

Scope and Contents

Negatives depicting primarily interior construction of the Eunice and James L. West Library. They show the nearly completed interior of the library as well as the construction of the shelving. There are a few images of exterior construction as well, both on the north and south sides of the building. Finally there are also a few images of workers moving the library collection into the building.

Scope and Contents

A newspaper clipping from the January 19, 1938 issue of the Rambler regarding the origins of the award is included on the first page of the book. The signatures of those who attended the first Golden Shears Breakfast on May 27, 1939 are in the back of the book.
